The Inspiration:

Friendly Inspiration: Nicole

This post is coming to you a day late, meaning that today will be a two-post day!

If you missed the inspiration behind this modern fairytale, see the inspiration here.

Nicole's Friendly Inspiration:

The Colour Scheme: This fairytale wedding will focus on pastel purples with hints of nudes and sage.

The Invitations: The purple will first be introduced with the invitations, featuring a geometric, modern envelope pattern.

The Venue: Both the ceremony and reception will take place in the main floor of the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria. This atrium location features towering glass windows, skylights, two overlooking balconies. The cocktail hour will take place outside the museum, in the beautiful gardens.

The Bride:

The Dress: Nicole will wear this flowy Watters gown, with a unique sweetheart neckline, geometric straps, and a-line skirt.

The Accessories: Nicole will wear her hair down in waves that frame her face. To accessorize, she'll carry a sage, purple, and white bouquet and wear simple diamond and pearl earrings and a detailed diamond bracelet.

The Bridesmaids: Nicole's ladies will wear lavender dresses with a detailed bodice and will carry a smaller version of the bride's bouquet.

The Groom & Groomsmen: The men will wear dark charcoal suits, complete with lavender ties and lavender and sage boutonnieres.

The Ceremony: To accent the beautiful glass windows of the venue, the backdrop will consist of sheer drapery, decorated with hanging roses and crystals. To add to this fairytale backdrop, the aisle will be lined with flower petals and glowing candles, along with glittered hearts hanging from the aisle chairs.

The Cocktail Hour: The drinks will be served from a beautifully decorated outdoor bar and will be enjoyed on cocktail tables decorated with nude tablecloths, large cream bows, and different bottles filled with flowers.

The Escort Cards: Hanging from greenery will be the guests' escort cards, held with gemstone clips

The Reception: There will be circular and rectangular tables at the reception, both of which will be covered with nude tablecloths and overlays: the circular tables will have nude overlays, while the rectangular tables will have cream overlays. The centrepieces will consist of lavender, sage, and white flowers, along with tall candle votives and roses sitting atop tall candlesticks. The table will be completed with mirrored table numbers and white china plates with light lilac napkins.

The Cake: A three-tiered white cake will be served to the guests, decorated with a gold chevron second tier, colourful florals, and a glittered "Best Day Ever" topper.

The Guestbook and Favours: Nicole wished to give her guests photobooth photos as a way of thanking them for attending, as well as giving them a memory from the night. I decided that the bride and groom should also get to see those memories, so the photobooth photos will also be used in the couple's guestbook.

Next week, a woodsy winery wedding.

Friendly Inspiration: Belle

To see the inspiration behind this pastel wedding, be sure to check out the intro post here!

Belle's Friendly Inspiration:

The Colour Palette: The main colours will be lavender, butter yellow, pink and white, with an accent of green.

The Invitations: To combine the colour scheme and the springtime season, these birdcage invitations will surely excite the guests.

The Ceremony Spot: With a large tree to stand behind the couple and a view of the vineyards, this is the perfect ceremony spot.

The Reception Space: This venue offers the perfect space for the dancing portion of Belle's wedding. Since she was concerned with her older relatives getting cold, having the dancing inside is the perfect solution.

The Extras: Since the dancing will be held indoors, dinner will be held outside to enjoy the beautiful spring weather. The venue also offers an outdoor bar and beautiful rustic details.

The Bride:

The Dress: This BHLDN dress is the epitome of what Belle wants: lace, slim fit, backless (within reason), and a slight train.

The Look: Belle couldn't decide between an updo or half-up, half-down, so I went looking for a middle ground - a loose updo. This look will also look great with a pearl-trimmed veil.

The Accessories: Belle wants simple pearl jewelry, with a little sparkle, so the combination of the crystal and pearl bracelets, along with pearl drop earrings fulfills her wishes.

The Bridal Party: The bridesmaids will wear this beautiful pink and lace Watters dress, with this gorgeous pink, white, and yellow bouquet. The flower girls will wear these adorable Lilly Pulitzer dresses in the clover cup print.

The Groom and Groomsmen: A grey suit will look great with a light pink shirt and Lilly-insired bowtie. A simple pink peony boutonniere will be the final touch.

The Decorations:

The Flowers: A mix of lavender, white, light pink, and butter yellow flowers will decorate the ceremony and reception.

The Ceremony: To line the aisle, the inner chairs will be draped with fabric, along with floral details. Since the backdrop of the ceremony is already so beautiful, simple decor is the way to go. A wooden arch will be adorned with hanging floral bulbs and teardrop crystals.

The Escort Cards: A wooden backdrop with clothespins and escort cards will lead guests to their seats.

The Reception: A butter yellow runner will be the base for the birdcage and floral centrepieces, along with coloured candles in heirloom and milk glass votives. White chargers and lavender plates will set off a patterned pink napkin formed into a bow with a pearl napkin ring.

The Dessert: Different cake stands - in lavender, yellow, and pink - will showcase three different single-tiered cakes in the lavender, pink, and white. When deciding on favours, Belle wanted candles (see below) and something sweet, so I decided on a cookie garden. Different cookie options will be on the cake table with the help of heart-shaped and circular stands.

The Drinks: When I found these Lilly-inspired straws, I knew they would be perfect for Belle's reception. Three different variations of lemonade (original, lavender, and pink moscato) will be served in mason jars with the coloured straws.

The Favours: Candles with the couple's custom monogram will be given to the guests as favours. They will be displayed in the indoor reception space with rustic bookshelves and tables.

Check back next weekend to see a wedding in the woods and Monday to see a spotlight on Allure Bridal gowns.
