Each year for Christmas, my family and I take a vacation to somewhere new in the world. This past year, we went to Europe on a Christmas on the Rhine cruise, taking us to Switzerland, Germany, France, and Amsterdam. It was one of the most incredible trips of my life, exploring the Christmas markets, drinking gluewein, seeing Europe decorated for the holidays, and spending quality time with my family.

The Placeway wedding was pure perfection. You could feel the love radiating from not only Jamie and Mike, but from the family and friends that were witnessing this partnership. Jamie and Mike centered their day on the colours peach and aqua, utilizing this colour in the flowers, wedding party wardrobe, menus and programs. To include the couple's love of coffee, they gave their guests fresh coffee beans. I loved that they incorporated this part of their love story in both their engagement photos and their wedding day. From start to finish, the love that Jamie and Mike shared was poured into their wedding day, making it a beautiful night to remember for all of their guests.

She Said Yes: The Story

Because Jamie and Mike both lived in Wheaton, IL, they had a very short window to take their engagement photos with their CA-based photographer. During a quick four-day visit with Jamie's family over Thanksgiving weekend, Mike and Jamie met Rachel Blackwell halfway, leading them to take pictures on my college campus, UC Davis. They took photos on campus in the Arboretum and then headed to downtown Davis to take photos at the cute coffee shop, Mishka's Cafe. Their photos are some of my favourite engagement pictures I've ever seen, so I'm very excited to share them with you today! Enjoy!
