Friendly Inspiration: Merrie

Today's Friendly Inspiration is a romantic, cream and blush wedding. If you missed the inspiration behind this gorgeous scheme, read the introduction here.

Merrie's Friendly Inspiration:

The Colour Palette: The main colours in this wedding are blush and cream, with hints of peach, gold, and a natural green.

The Invitations: These posh invitations are perfect. Not only do they feature the gold and blush colour palette, but have beautiful calligraphy details.

The outdoor ceremony space at this mansion is beautiful. It has an overhang that is perfect for hanging decorations, plus it provides shade for the guests. The reception space combines the indoors and outdoors with an enclosed outdoor space.

The Bride:

The Dress: This Hayley Paige dress is simple, yet so detailed. The sweetheart bodice has slight ruching, while the skirt has layers of fabric to create a flowing and flawless ballgown.

The Look: Merrie wished to have her hair down in loose waves with a simple veil. The veil we chose is detailed around the edges with pearls. To match this detailing, Merrie will wear light pink pearl and diamond earrings with a matching necklace. Her shoes will be light strap-y pumps.

The Bridesmaids: The bridesmaids will wear an Alvina Maids dress that coordinates with the bridal gown. It has a sweetheart neckline with a subtle sparkle, plus a flowing skirt. The bridesmaids will also wear light pink Mary Janes, pink pearl earrings and a matching bracelet.

The Groom and Groomsmen: The men will wear deep tan suits with blush dress shirts. The groom will wear a white tie to match his bride, while the groomsmen wear champagne ties to match the bridesmaids.

The Flowers: The bride and bridesmaids will carry coordinating bouquets, with the bride's being a little more colourful. The groom and groomsmen will wear light pink ranunculus to match the bouquets.

The Ceremony: The venue offers a great archway that we will decorate with blush and cream flowers, along with some added greenery. The aisle will be lined with pink roses on the inside of the aisle chairs. Hanging from the venue overhang will be a mixture of crystals and pomanders. The pomanders will be a combination of pearls and cream roses

The Cocktail Hour: Inside the mansion is the perfect place to host the cocktail hour. The cocktail tables will have two tablecloths, half plain cream tied with a blush ribbon, the other half with cream petal-inspired tablecloths. Sitting atop the tables will be small circular vases filled with pink peonies, roses, and ranunculus. Different cocktails will be served including champagne, raspberry lemon sangria, and other signature drinks.

The Reception Tables: The tables will have a cream tablecloth with a beaded pearl overlay. The centrepieces will be a combination of vases filled with flowers and candles holders, either crystal, or gold with crystal hangers, with gold candles. The table numbers will be calligraphy gold. The chairs will have eye-catching blush covers, creating a soft and beautiful feel.

The Cake: A blush and cream cake inspired by the bride's gown will be topped with a calligraphy "love" to match the table numbers.

The Favours: Each guest will get to take home a mini champagne bottle, complete with a custom-made floral label.

Next week, a purple and green garden party.

  2. I love my wedding inspiration! This is exactly what I wanted, all the way down to the exact details. The flowers and color scheme you picked even influenced my graduation cap! My favorite part are the mini champagne bottles as a favours. Great work Ainsley! <3
